The Pulsar rear disks make all kinds of noises. So live with it. I have learnt to live with it. And so have others around me in my neighbourhood!

The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

seriously man ..... if the modified version is coming then there should be no problem in the present lot .... but my friend bought one 3days back and he is facing the same problem of screetching sound as mine .... so i doubt about modified discs at present though .... :|

ive learnt to live with it now .....because whenever i tell pbk guy to see my rear disc sound .... he rubs my bikes rear disc pads with sandpaper

      and again sound comes ....
i cant see my bike crying when i apply rear brake....so as a temporary measure i use my ipod while driving

      ipod + P220 a deadly combo.....

      living with it ....

Well mine is 1 week old and 300 kms done, no such sound as yet.
The rear discs of 220 do make screeching sound if dust particles enter the braking system. You can get it cleaned today and the sound may come again next day when some particle enters again.
I dont think a new DISC would be required for that. Clean the Rear disc with a wet cloth and then if it problem persists get the callipers opened and cleaned

The problem will be solved once the callipers are removed and then cleaned.
"Modified Disc"?? Now thats a nice statement. Seems your mechanic wanna say that Bajaj designed a new DISC to eliminate particles entering and making noises. Thats great if it true. Keep us updated. First CDI and now disc, Bajaj is going the right way, changing whatever is faulty.

ROFL , burst into a laugh reading the neighbours thing.
Hope it doesnt make that much noise and you were only saying that on a lighter note.
I think yours is the modified Pulsar for offroading na? Am sure the Disc screech is inevitable if you go offroading.

I heard squeaking sounds the other day while slowing down. I looked around at other vehicles! But it was my own bike's rear brake!!!

max u can do is keep the rear disc clean.... and go to the service centre..ask them to claen the rear disc pads.. dont say anythin more...

as our mod has already said, we have to learn to live with it...

some cudnt, they've changed their pads and the whole assembly itself...

i recommend u dont do so... get it cleaned...congrats on ur new bike.... keep her really well.....

My bike is almost 2 months and 4500Kms old.. it screeched maybe twice, but never again. Though I have kept my rear brakes quiet light. Its strange that some 220s brake have problems and other don't.

My friends 8 month old 220 Fi, doesn't have any problem of sort, strangely for the fact that's it's a poorly maintained bike, with no service for last 5K kms, not even lubing the chain!!

Has anyone tried putting the disc on a lathe and get a very fine facing done??? But i mean a very fine, so that the friction surfaces are new???

The screeching sound will go after some KMS.

Sometimes it can happen because of dirt.

You can also use emery paper to roughen your pads.
