  • Pulsar 220 dtsi problem

Hi guys my 700kms old p220dtsi is making a strange & rattling sound from the Engine assy. The local mechanic says the sound is coming from the magnet side and has changed the kit starter clutch minus the springs but the sound is still coming. The pick up and performance has not been affected and i have touched 130km/h once. The sound is not coming always but occasionaly & when the bike is taking a turn. The nearest pbk service center is 375kms away. Thanks.

Are you sure that he has replaced the starter clutch with proper parts? on my bike it just needed some greesing and the sound was gone. Check the starting gear (big sprocket on magent) also. Try greasing it.

Bhaina: 700 km ra gadi ku daya kari 130 re chalani. Engine udijiba. Jaha hele be bajaj gadi.

You're bike needs to get its first service done anyways. I'd recommend you to take to the PBK rather than it being touched by local mechanics.

Problem solved after greasing of the magnet side big sprocket. The dealer also replaced the CDI(the green colored one). The pick up appears to be slightly reduced and the speedo showing 64km/h at 4000rpm in top, earlier it was 60Km/h.
