Hey Ranjith i also heard about OSRAM night breakers, can we simply change to osram bulbs without any issue... i mean is there anything other than the osram bulb we have to buy... it cost around 800Rs/- i think?

        1) Any wiring installation needed to done?
        2) Will cause any Battery drain problem, i.e can we use the stock FZ16 battery itself?
        3) Where can i buy here in kerala?

                        Hey guys,

There are three solutions to your lighting problems
                        1. Use electrical wires of R-15 to power up both the lights of Fazer with H4 sockets. You may use both the stock philips 35 w hallogen.
2.Use a single 60/55 watt halogen lamp most preferably Philips Xtreme Power or Osram Night Breaker.

A pair of Xtreme Power cost about Rs 900 /-
A single Osram Night Breaker costs about Rs 800 /-

I have been using Philips Xtreme Power 60/55 for the last 6 months on the stock battery of 5AH without having any problem even I had ridden for whole night without any battery drainage issue.

                        3. Install a 35w HID

for further queries you can mail me @ [email protected]

TO light up both the stock bulbs at the same time you just need two wires and two clips and the mod can be done in 5 minutes flat. And no the battery won't die as it can support it for hours together. Rode a friend's Fazer with both lights ON for roughly 3 hours non stop and didn't even dim down. If you want better lighting, do the two wire mod and get 35watt BIXENONs in both the headlights and you'll ride at 120Km/h even in pitch black nights.

i dint know we could fit in a 55/60w bulb in our bike !! WOW !! cool.. our battery makes only 60w of power how can it support this bulb?? it would surely affect the brake light or turning light or horns which we would use simultaneously !!
                            Regardless, Life shall go on.

It won't support two 60w bulbs for a long time. If its FZ then you'll have one 60W bulb which is fine and runs really long[a friend of mine has it]. But in a Fazer if two 60W bulbs are installed, battery is surely going to get drained very fast. IMO use the stock bulbs in the fazer and do the mod to run both at a time. If the illumination is unsatisfactory then go for HIDs as going for higher wattage halogen bulbs will require you to do some mods to the charging system.
