  • Pulsar 180 UG4 doesn't start after IN NO RUNNING CONDITION for 2 days

    Hey guys,

I am facing a problem. I have pulsar 180 UG4 and you all know that it doesn't have kick starting function. I use my bike occasionally in 3 or 4 days. After 2 or 3 days whenever i want to use my bike, it takes around at least 20 minute to start the engine.

The CHOKE doesn't help too. I use choke then i start the engine, leave the choke on for 14 to 20 seconds then i shut the choke again. After it i shift the gear and accelerate, then the engine stops with a sound.

After many attempts i able to start bike. What is the solution? Help me please.

Do you let the bike idle for some time after you start it. (after shutting choke). Please observe your idle rpm. After you start the bike let it idle (do not use any throttle) till it reaches the idle RPM. (should generally take 45-60 seconds) wait for 15 seconds more. Then put in gear accelerate gently for some time. Then use normally.
Try this and let me know...

BTW i am taking for granted that the bike is serviced regularly. Otherwise if not please get it serviced...

Oh god thankss, after reading the title of post i thought that your battery died. you took out my mind out of ma skeleton
as you mentioned that you start it after it is OFF for a few days(that too in winter) then it means that engine is fully cooled down and needs a bit of more choke than it would require on normal morning starts.so, itz normal nothing to worry about.
            alright coming to your problem
1)Is your carb. clean, get it cleaned by SC if not.
2)Generally, you should practice to drive it ON choke for atleast 30-40secs(even ride it with choke ON for 500mts-1km as u start it after a few days),if itz too cold.
3)use some throttle instead of choke,(that's what i practice) and then try to accelerate upto 2K RPM and start riding it and donot take over 2K-2.5K RPM for 1KM.
as your bike is new so i donot think it is a major issue its just due to a bit more cold weather.
