    How to obtain a duplicate DL in bangalore

    Hi Guys,I Have lost my DL(Driving license) accidentally and also do not remember the DL number. can someone help me how to obtain a duplicate DL in bangalore. Any agent who can help me with this?

      Have you queried RTO officers regarding this case?, i am sure there must be some alternative for issuing duplicate copy based on you address

        Thanks for the suggestion varun. will enquire the concerned officers about the same. however, what are the alternatives if such a option is not possible?

          Get duplicate rc

          STEPS REQD-

          1.File a FIR or a NCR-(Non Conz. Report) at your nearest Police Station saying that you lost it.

          2.Take a Photocopy of it with your ID Proof,Driving Licence,Address Proof and submit it to the nearest RTO wre it was registered.


          3. I suppose you need give sometime ( 1 month) and submit the reqd fees.

          Wait for sometime and then check your status

            On a serious note, what Romeo has written is what you are supposed to do. AFAIK the RTO will not entertain any requests without a FIR copy...

                You'll have to give the test again, if you plan to start off fresh. And when you go for a new DL, you would be submitting the same address and then it would mean that you are making two licenses on the same name. So to avoid confusion, just obtain a duplicate copy.
