can you guys suggest what will b good for my bike..
    1.teflon coating(Rs.400 once n will work for 6 months)
2.liqour or liker coat(Rs.1200 once..will work for years)..pata nahi whats tht actually n how it is spelt
    i met a sardarji..he does wasing n coating job...
he adviced me to go for liqour coat..as it will be bettr than teflon.
He was convincing me go fot liqour one...n told me teflon is just a polish n other one is actually a coating.

Dude, firstly its not Liqour coat but its LACQUER Coat

Lacquer can have more depth and clarity if applied right, they have some new products out now called Pre-cat lacquer and post-cat lacquer, this catalyzing agent allows the lacquer to dry faster an harder, you can recoat within 15 to 20 minutes or anytime after the previous coat. People call it many names from clear coat, varnish coat (differs from this actually) etc.

Teflon coating is just like waxing, gives u shining surface but wont last long and doesnt cover any sratches or wont protect ur painting either. Its just a gimmick.

Normall case, u dont need this actually as its finished with this lacquer coat, else, the paint job wont last long. Once you got some decent scratches or something like happens or any sticker changes only its required. Its my personal suggestion, as I was also fooled by this terminologies.

        Which liquor-whisky or beer?
Jokes apart, Mods please edit the thread title.
Anyways, your query has been answered already, lacquer or clear coat is already there on the bike when it is painted by the manufacturer. A new bike will not need it IMO.
Over a period of time, depending on your usage say 3-4 years or whenever the paint goes dull, when you wanna restore the original look&shine, I would recommend you to get a single coat paintjob done&lacquer coat over it then, that way you can save the original look plus you don't need to get restickering done also.
Have a look at my Fiero F2 in my picture album, I got it single coat painted+lacquer coated a year&a half back. It was about 4 years old then. The original shine is restored, with least effort.
For now you can teflon coat the bike every 6 months and or wax polish it at home yourself as often as you like. Teflon lasts longer, wax polish has to be done more frequently.
