  • P220 tachometer reads 4k just after starting

hey guys there is a minor prob in my p220.
when i start my bike for the first time in d day..after pressing the start push button, the engine starts and my tachometer directly goes to 4K..for some seconds then it comes back to normal..n this happens evn if i hold my accelerator to its initial zero rev position.
any one hv any clue why is it happening?

maybe just the autochoke doing its duty..
Get the bike to the PBK and ask the mech to check the choke

Its the functioning of autochoke ..

Could be a battery problem. I have seen this happen in my clasic 150 when the battery was close to dying.

its not the culprit dude. thats how its supposed to work, and be happy that you aren't having any cold start issues due to its non-working.

If only the tacho reading increases, but the engine rpm is same, its a battery problem.

engine rpm does increases..so its the "autochoke" doing his work.
