On the oil level viewing port, there is a metal ring which is bent at both it's ends, the top and bottom of this indicates the max and min permitted oil quantity. I have indicated it in red in the attatched pic. I just edited the pic you have submitted.

EDIT: forgot 2 mention, when checking, engine has to be cold, so preferably left overnight. And the bike has to be on the centerstand on a level surface.

Its probably leaking because it was over filled, im not sure, but it happened to me. My oil was above the max after the last service and the next day there was oil on the floor.

If it IS in the recomended level and is still leaking you should get it checked.

If it is above max, u can siphon out a little from the filler hole using a CLEAN small diameter hose/tube. Be carefull as you will need to remove very little if it IS really above max. So do it very slowly constantly checking in the viewing port. Use a small soft drink bottle to collect the oil, it probable just fill around 150-200ml.

You should probably wait for confirmation from more experinced users about what i have written.

        oil leak

Make sure the Oil Drain Bolt is tight.
If ur engine was opened by any chance then possible chances of leakages from gasket or packing as wht the mechanics say.
One litre of oil should be sufficient enough in pulsar.

well.. P150 always shows less oil.. and some time scares hell out of me ..

check oil only after the bike is on standstill for 3-4 hours.. like morning time is best one.. but still not sure it would show correct.. oil should be above min. level in window.

how to check oil, when it doesn't show in window..
you can tilt the bike a little.. say 20 degree and see if you see oil in window.. if it floods the window while tilting.. then you are safe.. but keep a close eye..
other wise run to mechanic.. but on very-very slow speed. get oil filled.. as no oil means.. engine might go kaput..

I keep checking my oil every 500 KM after this happened to me ..

oil drain bolt is tight. i think gasket is to blamed for the head leak. LL get it checked at next service
