  • Query on Touring....

    Hello Friends,

My CBZ Xtreme has completed 2 services and 2400. I'm planning for a round trip. This is gonna be CBZ's inaugural trip.....
Bangalore - Chennai - Pondicherry with my friends. So Is it Okay to take my CBZ for the trip, any restrictions on Speed to be maintained. I heard the route is simply awesome, roads are like mirror . So definitely there will be a adrenaline rush????

    Please pour in your suggestions.

The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

@maveric: I don't think there should be absolutely ANY problem in touring with your just run-in CBZ. Just make sure you get the engine oil changed just before the tour and please do not rip the bike like there's no tomorrow. Keep varying your speed, take a breather of 15 odd minutes after every 3-4 hours of riding (or early, since this is the "innaugral trip", like you say) and everything will be fine.

Today's four-stroke bikes hardly have any problems. Just re-fuel and keep going seems to be the mantra for these machines. It is the rider who, rather, will need a break and not the machine. Also, make sure you stretch your body parts well whenever you take a break, and keep yourself hydrated. Feeling dehydrated is the worst feeling in the world.

Just go and have a good time, generally.
      :)

            long journey

            Hey Buddy,

make sure to carry an extra tyre tube incase of punctures, as u cannot expect good quality tubes as well as the prices of tubes are very high, also make sure u halt after 2 hrs or maybe before.
keep the speed 70-80, dont go constant on one speed.
carry enough cash with u in case of emergencies.
make sure u wear jacket and gloves for the ride, maybe a face mask (its upto u)
dont overtake unneccesarily, do not race on open roads as u r goin on a long trip and u might not want to land up with engine heating problems.

njoy the ride and ride safely!!!!!!
Ride Hard !!! Ride Safe!!! Enjoy every moment on your machine !!! Cheers....

Take the NH4 to Chennai vis Hosur-Krishnagiri and then the ECR (East coast road) to Pondicherry. These roads are fab - on the way back, you can repeat this, or cut through Gingee fort route if you want to skip Chennai. The first route should take 8-9 hours or so when done at a leisurely speed.

Should be no probs on your CBZ

Fill it shut it forget it

Fill good fuel. (In Pondi fuel is much much cheaper than Bangalore )

Ensure Engine oil level, change if necessary.

                Don't rip, better to cruise @ 80's.

Try not to red line the bike for long time.

Give a break after every 90-100mins of ride.
