  • [Help]: Bajaj Avenger 130/90 vs 140/90

    Hi,

It is this time of the year, where i have to change my Bajaj Avenger tyres. Thanks to the lock out and strike at MRF and lack of suitable alteratives (honestly i had called 23 tyre dealers in Cochin which includes CEAT and Apollo), getting 130/90 seems to be difficult than buying Gold. However the cloud in the silver lining is the next size 140/90 is available. Will this affect the bike dynamics and mileage (honestly i believe so). I look forward to feedback from you all. Thanks in advance...

The difference is not really too much. There should not be any problems.
Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

^^ +1 to that. You'll feel a little increase in rear-grip too; but just a little, don't expect too much, because the Avenger's got enough grip already due to the low profile.

Hey, BTW what size (radius) rims does the Avy come with? Are they 16 or what?

                  Hi,

Did you change it to 140/90/15 ?
How do you feel while riding?
Also, can you suggest what could be the max width on rear tyre?

Hi, 140 can be fitted to avenger but depending on tred design one may need to modify the width of the swing arms. For me this problem did not happen as I found 130 size Ralco tyre which added a lot of grip in the rear
