About "Extension Chamber"

    About "Extension Chamber"

    Hi Everyone,

    i heard from one of my friends stayin in B'lore about a new technology called "Extension Chamber". Frankly speaking, i couldn't n didn't beleive him...
    But these days, technology has got too advanced. that's why, to be absolutely sure, i'm writing this post.

    "Extension Chamber" is a chamber like thing, that needs to be externally fitted with the engine to increase the engine capacity by about 75cc. So if u hv got a Karizma, n u attach this Extension chamber with ur engine, it will be 225+75 = 300 cc approx...

    Plz don laugh... even though i laughed a lot after hearing this...
    But to be frank, hv any1 of u really heard of sumthing like this???
    because if such a technology comes up, dat will be really... ... absolutely no words to express.

      dunno tooo much but do you mean "Expansion chamber?"

      That is used on two stroke bikes... don't think it will work on 4 stroke bike....

          sounds funny....

          but just to go with the flow of the topic...
          it can be a diff sort of head for the engine....this head may include a altered combustion chamber design ...which may indirectly increase the combustion chamber volume...as the pre-combustion chamber type design.....maybe....

                Hi, Its good that you came up with a query.

                Technology is leaping ahead and before we know, we are left behind. So no wonder if we feel ourselves left way aback.

                Anyways, as far as I know, you perhaps might have been confused with a Pre combustion chamber. Though I would still await to hear from People like Old Fox.
                Its not about the BHP or the CC, its about one common religion called Biking!!!

                  i have had enough surprises to try not to laugh at things like this.

                  maybe some genius in some corner of the world really came up with this, but without further details available, i assume this to be a big fat con.

                  additionally, this is supposed to be a external bolt on, so its highly unlikely to be real.
