  • Low Speed Wobbling

Hi, I have been facing an issue lately. My P150 wobbles in low speed situations like being stuck in traffic jams and so on. As a result, I have to put down my feet earlier than other bikers. This happens only at speed below 10kmph.

There is absolutely no problems at speeds above this. I can even go straight with my hands off the handlebar at say 60kmph. I have new (less than 10,000 kms old) cone set, swing-arm bushes, front wheel bearing and front fork tubes.

One thing, my bike has spoke wheels. The alignment is slightly off. I have verified this myself. And rear wheel has exactly 3 broken spokes.

So, I would be happy to hear some tips and suggestions on how to solve this problem. Any if anyone has experienced and solved this issue, please share the solution here!

I was kinda hoping that spokes are not the issue! They keep breaking now and then! Anyways, no other thing to check? Would like to fix it at one go!

          should be easy enough

since you have a spoke wheel and not alloys it shouldnt be too hard to fix the alignment problem... just take it to a mechanic and they will true the wheel as well as fix the spokes.... there are even plenty of how to videos on the net for truing your wheel yourself.... although you may need a special tool to loosen and tighten the spokes... most likely this is they cause of your problem... and probably why more spokes are breaking ( because there is more stress on the other spokes when one breaks)... so I would say fix this first and see... if you don't its only gonna get worse IMO

Ok then, as this is the most probable cause, will fix it!

I suspect the cone sets, I had the same problem some time back, when ever I brake for a halt, it pulls to right side. Got the cone set replaced and now ok. But spoke wheels can have the issues of this at times.

^ Mine is slightly different. At extremely low speed, (walking speed) I feel the handle first pulling to the left then to the right.. then it goes straight for some time (the wheel completes rotation I guess) and it is the same wobble again. The feel is somewhat like a train changing tracks! It is felt more on turns. (at low speeds only)

I guess I will have to change all the spokes for both wheels soon.
