No JD, since the spring actions are smooth I didn't feel like changing them. I'll buy 2 pairs of springs (if they're cheapOriginally posted by jd666 View Posthave u changed the brake shoe springs???

^^ they are.. not more than 5rs for both. Change em. ANd if you wanna change all, then change the springs on the brake rod ( in the pic), and also on the brake lever ( attached to the chassis below the engine).

Finally fixed the issue. The culprit was the camshaft & plate brake shoe assembly. Replaced them with new ones & the brakes are more than amazing
