  • Help with my new Pulsar 220

Can anybody help me in answering my 3 questions....
    I have bought a new pulsar 220 lst week.....i m new 2 ride a bike....so i m not as tech savy in bike.....

1 ) My engine RPMs sometimes increases even if i dont accelerate n it is on neutral?? Is there any problem with the auto choke or temperature sensors or my engine is fast......
The auto chokes works fine i guess as it goes off aftr few seconds when i start my bike for the 1st time for the day....

    2) My rear break is very loose......some1 tld me that it has new liner that is y?? once it will get used it will strt wrking fine....
bt my front brk is wrking fine....is der any need 2 tighten my rear brk or shud i wait 4 few mr days....

    3) What is the concept behind this logic....
If the upper head light is ON.the passing (which makes the head light blink to indicate vehicles to give space for passing) doesn't work for the bike....but if the dipper head light is ON it works......

      1) Varying RPM is ok for new engine. It will settle after 1st service.

      3) Pass light switch switch ON high beam when you are on low beam. hence when you are already on highbeam pass light has no function.

check your manual for ideal RPM for your bike.

when the engine is cold, the RPM is generally more.... so check your RPM against the one mentioned in the manual when the engine is warm... If you find much difference, get it to the workshop and fix it...

I guess no one answered the 2nd question.
As far as i am seen on my 220 DTS-Fi, the rear brakes are not as sharp as front. Probiking told me its designed that way to avoid skidding on sudden brakes.

Wait till your service due for the RPM issue, hopefully the Service guys can fix this up for you if there are any issues.
