  • Need Help For Karizma

Hi member i am thinking to buy a second hand bike from one of my friend's friend
    the specifications are
    -05/06 model (not R version)
    -black color
-no idea of how many kms done.
but there is one big problem he said that some piston ring or something else is not in workin condition, change may cost around 3k
and the price of the bike he is asking is 25k.
and one of my friend said that "karizma ka engine khulna matlab life khatam aur money khatam"

so what to do please help me..??

Actually this is not true. With an expert mechanic engine can be dismantled and reassemble again without any issues.

25K looks a decent price, but without knowing the history of the bike and how much it ran and what torture it has taken, it is difficult to judge. Only a mechanic can tell how good the engine is after a ride.

but owner said that there is a problem in piston ring which could be sought out if we spend 3k.

If it is just piston rings, it is okay as he said. It would cost you somewhere aroud 3k. But, What about the rest of the engine? If it it is just piston rings, and everything is fine with the rest of the bike 25k is good. Also check if there are any accidents with the bike. These accidents show a lot of effects on handling of the bike. You better consult a Karizma mechanic to know the condition of the bike.

If you feel that your friend is trustworthy to you, go ahead with it, but look for a good karizma mechanic.

Bhai, Without knowing the bike's condition, it is really difficult to judge. Why do not you take the bike to a HH SVC and assess the condition of the bike?

It is not true. I have opened my bike's engine twice, and it is running healthy even after 45k. But, you have to be careful to to open it by an experienced mechanic, not the learners.
