IMO its too small an issue to be worried about. Remember that ur bike is in it s run-in period. It might have gone rough due to the engine oil going bad too.
Generally, the sound of any new engine would be different from that of one which has completed it s run-in.
More over, when u run the bike till the last drop of fuel, some minute impurities that might have settled at the bottom of the tank, goes into the fuel system. Avoid running dry the next time!
Wait till your next service completes, she should be fine
When everything comes ur way, u r in the wrong way ;)

sorry for quoting it wrong,by dry i meant reserveOriginally posted by insanebiker View PostMore over, when u run the bike till the last drop of fuel, some minute impurities that might have settled at the bottom of the tank, goes into the fuel system. Avoid running dry the next time!
so the fuel tank had:
3 Litres of Fuel (reserve) from the erlier refill (BP Unleaded)
10 Litres of Shell Fuel
Edit: changed a OP a bit

Okay. Chill man. Nothing to worry. Just complete the run-in properly. That should be good.Originally posted by arvindraju View Postsorry for quoting it wrong,by dry i meant reserve

Okie, make sure it is a 20W50 the next time. And Castrol has only one engine oil with that grade. Castrol Activ Xtra.Originally posted by arvindraju View Postsorry for my ignorance, was told by the service guy it is Castrol oil
i did not dig in wat specific oil was poured in
There are many other better oils available in the market. Where do u service ur bike?
EDIT : POWER? Damn. That might be one of the reasons why ur engine is rough. Man, how are these service centre people so ignorant? And they use a synthetic/semi synthetic within the run-in period itself. Bajaj service is more than enough to screw their bikes.
Listen ,drain that oil ASAP! Important. And pour in an oil whihc is of 20W50.Last edited by insanebiker; 05-28-2009, 12:27 PM.When everything comes ur way, u r in the wrong way ;)
