  • Clunking noise while braking

Hi All, I got my pulsar 135LS 1 week back and from the last 2 days whenever I brake, I hear a clunking noise which I believe is coming from the rear wheel. I haven't been able to examine it completely to determine where the sound is coming from but it certainly appears to be only when I brake and when applying the rear brakes.

    The sound goes like dak,dak,dak,dak..

I want some pointers before I take it to a mechanic so that I'm not fooled into believing whatever he says

The brake torque rod must be loose. It's a black rod that bolted to the drum brake plate. Check the bolts and nuts on both ends of the rod. Also check the wheels axle and nuts.

Tight the rear axel nut. It cause due to dat. When you hit the brake the whole drum brake assemble play and as it is loose it try to move with the wheel and put a sudden strike on the brake road. And that cause noise.

Also check the swing-arm for any defects !
