  • Help regarding gaining more accelaration......

I have a 2 years old 9000kms completed HH Hunk.
The acceleration is getting decreased. And for this issue i have checked the tuning, air filter etc. But no result.
One of my known mechanic told me to add an extra pressure plate into clutch plate housing. Not by adding directly but after doing some trick with lathe machine....
It will surely increase the acceleration, the mechanic told me.

So is it true that it will help to gain acceleration surely??? I am quite confused with this matter.
    Please shed some light....
And another thing i have asked for help to choose a suitable engine oil from given two options. But none replies....
Hope it will be taken care of.....

I own a HH Hunk.it is completed near 9000kms.Previously i used HH engine oil and castrol Power 1 10w30.But think to shift to another engine oil for smooth gear, clutch functioning and good pickup. I haven't found motul 300v FL 5w40 in kolkata and castrol activ xtra 10w30,elf moto 4 fuel eco is out of market. I have found 2 engine oils to shift over.
One is elf moto 4 gold 20w40 and veedol super swift 10w40.
Which one can i use to fulfill my purpose?

an extra clutch plate will keep the clutch from slipping.. dunno about increasing acceleration.

what is the number of teeth on the rear sprocket??? see if you can find a higher number of teeth sprocket. maybe from some other bike

        - KTM Duke 200
        - Yamaha RXZ 5 speed

adding an extra plate wil never increase acceleration..also there are no easy ways which we can discuss here to make ur bike acclerate fast, but you could try sprocketting, air filter changes...

but if ur really serious about making ur bike go faster then contact joel, he has a few ideas which makes ur bike faster...my bike is already done by him and am very happy with the results and the best part is the kit is direct plug n play..

thanks jd... for your comments, but it would be not actually a clutch plate but an extra pressure plate(steel plate).
I will try to count the teeth....
            will give update....

              thanks pradeep for your suggestion
I will send a PM to joel as yoiu said. But can I give it a try to put an extra plate, would it be harmful for the clutch or housing?

Remove the engine and put a 500cc engine, it will surely increase the pickup

Either your mechanic is stupid or he thinks you are stupid! You obviously are not since you had the good sense to ask this question on xBHP!

Modifying the clutch will not help in improving acceleration. If your clutch is worn out, change the clutch plates.

If you want more accceleration at the cost of top speed and mileage, change the rear sprocket to larger one. Maybe 2 to 4 teeth more.

If you want more acceleration and more overall performance, get the cylinder head ported, fit a free flow muffler and fit a free flow air filter.
