      lol!
lets try to solve some confusion.
the parts you are talking about are called by different names.

but if you go out to buy them in india, they are top-plate and bottom-plate of the forks.

      simple isnt it?

I think it is a useless mod, will just give you headaches and nothing else.
Chrome rims and bling ? get a real life !

Useless for some, interesting for others . so much as performance mods are useless for some and good for others.

The main issue is how well the job is done.

u can go with FZ/P220 any one of them but the problem is u need to buy the calipers of those respective bike reason being they all have their own & individual mounting points...

when just for the disc u need to change the caliper/disc rotor/rim think abt mounting the fork assy in the place of the old....

There r many things need to be checked b4 opting for one, like lower tee stem ht (the spindle which clamps the top plate together)

the dia of inner fork of a uni is 33mm, ninja & p220 have 38mm, FZ it is 40mm

so just with the old tee u cannot put the inner tube in place not even the 38mm.

if u can afford go p220/180 as they r some wat possible to fit.

              the list is big
inner tube, handle bar, top plate, lower tee, outer tube(fork), disc, alloy(rim), caliper & other consumables.

do not never ever think abt R15 fork assy they r really sky high priced......
a outer tube will cost u around Rs.2500 just u can calculate the others.....

this is not just a talk even i thought of going for this but later dropped the idea after numerous points in mind......

A BIG ADVICE: do not modify & play with the chassis which will result in the dynamics problem

hmmmmmmm....... to be precise u may lose ur chassis if the job is not done properly...........

do not think this has -VE.... i say do not play with the chassis.....

if one thing if u still miss in p220 is the dia of inner tube & slightly bigger dia of disc (say a extra metal/wt)

still if u have a strong light & will win it pls help me out too.........but i don't suggest u to shed blood & give direction for any of them present here (incl me)

Sorry for digging this up. I wanted to know if there is any time frame for the unicorn forks to be replaced. Today i got my fork seals changed and it was found that one of the tubes were slightly scratched. The mechanic suggested me to get the tube changed. Any ideas?
