    Query Approved.

I would like to know what does a racing CDI do? Does it somehow increase the performance of the machine or the likes?
    :)

Yes it does increase the power. It plays an important role in controlling the charging energy to the H.V. Coil to ignite the engine under adequate rotational angles which made the combustion efficiency up to the utmost situation. By this there is a better cumbustion and the fuel is burnt completly and this will increase the power.

in my bluntly honest opinion, you can spend a heap on the scoot and it will still be slow. forget it mate, enjoy the floorboard and the storage. i ride a dio and thats what i do.

if at all you are disparate for a ignition upgrade, best not walk into a shop asking for a racing cdi for the scoot. most shopkeepers will see you with a 'bakra' stamp on your face.

the way ti go about this is find a equivalent bike in some other country, see if they make a fancy cdi for that. then download the repair manual for that scoot and try to see if its compatible with yours. there are a lot of international forums dealing with power-ups for scoots. try to learn as much as you can from them.

once your homework is done, go to a importer / shop and ask for the specific part / part number only. thats the best way to not get cheated.

                cheers
                Abhishek

                  LOL

@@Akhilyholla - There's nothing wrong that I see, if you're looking for scooter with power; you should be importing one of those TMax or Sym. If you still insist Aviator & power, then I don't know what to say.

It is nly in India that the scoots are under power recently had been to Thailand those scoots over there are 110cc and 125cc we can do a 120 with a pilion rider too good have to ride it to belive it. Both yamaha and Honda have too good scoots in other countries. Bad that we dont have it. People here ask nly for milage.

Check out my shorts! :-) We all bought one apiece so that it'd look silly. All I can say is that the mission was accomplished very successfully.

True; couldn't agree more. Only if I'd those TMax available in India; I just will not need any of those saddle bags & tank bags. Let's hope they see this thread & make them available here

Seriously the other day i had gone to Orion motors in Bangalore i was tellin the owner there the same thing. Those scoots have liqued engines and all have to ride it to belive what power those bikes have.
