Problem with my pulsar150ug4
Hey guys, this is Debayan here from howrah(near kolkata).I have some peculiar problem with my newly purchased p150 ug4.It has only done 361km and I almost filled up 15litre into it.That is not it it gives heavy smell of petrol when I open my garage to take it out I always keep the fuel button off so I am unable to understand why this is happening because my passion never gave me this kinda smell, and also sometimes there is a sound like hissssssss...comes from the tank not always but ya sometimes.I reported it to CC guys but they didn't find anything wrong in it..the serious most problem is everytime after going 3-4km it stops..the stopping is more like due to lack of fuel no matter how much fuel is present in there,n then it refuses to start..Then I always have to open my tank n move the bike left n right consecutively for couple of times in order to start it..but this works only after opening the tank .can anyone help me about these matters..because CC guys whenever I took it to them said it's fine..It's the "CHOICES,"that make us "WHO WE ARE"

hi debayan, well dada, bajaj service guys are some time A>S>S
.
take the bike to a probiking showroom or any other service centre and tell them to
1 drain the fuel tank
2.take it out
3.take out the filler cap with allen keys
4.clean the filler cap with high pressure jet or change that under warrenty.
5.clean the tank drainage holes by high pressure jets.\
6.clean the tank properly
7.check and clean the fuel pipes
it should help and eliminate the prob. if not then boss its your carburetor but chances very less.trust me this is a common prob, the service guys are lazy enough to do all above said jobs.sigpic

looks like your facing "Vapour Lock" or "Floating" problem.quite common with pulsars. Probably ventilation holes on tank are clogged.so at times when u open the tank cap hissss sound comes as gases previously unable to find a way out are released.Follow what <drvmtm> has posted.Should solve your problemLast edited by RascalAngel; 02-23-2010, 10:48 PM.2004 Pulsar 150 DTSi

Hey I have done all the things that you have said earlier, but the problem has not been resolved yet fully.. The only difference is it is stopping whenever I ride it constantly beyond 7k-8k rpm for about say 10mins, and one thing I have found out that it doesn't happen immediately after I refuel-but it starts whenever the fuel in the tank becomes less happens during reserve riding also, but never faced it with full tank.Originally posted by drvmtm View Posthi debayan, well dada, bajaj service guys are some time A>S>S

and one more thing whenever I ride it for long say more than 100km in a day the sound of the engine becomes wired, is this due to the long running or something else, because I have never found sluggish performance during this, only the sound changes..
And one more thing how ofter should I change the brake lever oil and differential oils?I have clocked 2.4k km so far..It's the "CHOICES,"that make us "WHO WE ARE"
