  • [Help]: My bike smokes!

friends, i own a TB 2007, my bike was doing fine, i had added a KNE0990 in 2008 and did not upjet. in 2009 on a regular service my mech. told some sound coming from engine, on opening he showed me the piston had some scratches, told it was due to overheating, got it re polished, since then my bike smokes in morning start, after a km it stops. he says i need to change the piston and bore

am not sure if after that expensive change will it still work fine, or is there some other issue that can be rectified or looked upon, few days back i upjetted to 115 main(stock-110), no upjetting on pilot done

    PLLLLLSSSSS HELP!!!!

^^ your rings could be worn out. Tell him to change the rings and then check if its possible to run the bike. If he still insists on a overhaul, take a second opinion from another mechanic.

Your piston has play in it. The piston+ rings would be changed and the cylinder rebore.

When you are getting this done, check the crank for play as well.
