  • Mileage decrease in my fz.

Not long ago, ie.6 months I bought a black fz16. I had recorded mileages like 48-54 before service. After first service, it came down to 45-48 range. After second service 40-45. Now completed 3rd service 1 month back. I now get 37-42 range. What would be the reason?
I am sure I haven't asked the svc for tuning the carb. But I can feel good pickup. Is tuning the answer? My chain also feels a bit tight. I can feel a tick tick sound when the bike is running. Please advice me.

just go to sc and tell them for the poor mileage

they will tune your carb for mileage, and on your next servcie ask them to clean your carb.

and for the sound, is it coming from engine or exhaust, if its coming from engine then it must be tappet, ask sc to adjust it

or its from exhaust then theres nothing to worry about it maybe because your bike is new

If you want more than what you are getting, FZ is not the bike for you. 37 - 42 is decent mileage for the FZ. Stop worrying abt the mileage and just enjoy the ride.

Usually with all the riders after second service we start ripping the bikes and hence it translates to low mileage. Before the second service most of the riders ride very slow and cautiously and that translates into good mileage.
