    [Help]: Alloys for RX 100

    Actually i m thinking of fitting alloys to my RX.Currently i m thinking of black discovers alloys without disc brakes (bike tends to slip[my thinking]).

    Can anyone suggest what are the mods needed to fit those alloys and what is the expected amount to be spend on this mod.(Pls tell alloys price if u do know and types of tyres that are needed to be fit upon).

      best option to fit alloys on a RX without issues are the gladiator's alloy. A neat direct fit.

      Also the discover alloys are 17 inches, and the RX has 18 inch rims. More over you will have to match the axles and the coupling for the sprocket drive.

      So go for the gladiator's alloys. ( 18 inches )

        thanx for your reply but do disk brakes have reliability issues in terms of rx,b'coz my bro says that it has different riding posture so bike tends to slip a lot and it's very dangerous to fit disc in rx 100 ?????

          ^^ nope not really. it also depends on how you are using the brakes. I have tested a RX100 fitted with the gladiators disc and alloys.. runs fine for me, though the front suspension is a bit too soft.

            Gladiators are direct fit as JD says;
            Alternatively you can consider (consider) Honda Unicorn & alloys from HH(Hunk/CBZ/Splendor+), basically all 18 inch wheels; however with Honda & HH, you may not know about the fork & alloys getting along together, while you cannot expect any niggling issues if you opt for Gladiator's alloys.

              thanx argee and jd666 for ur support.Now i have decided to opt for black gladiator alloys but i can't make up my mind whether to install disc setup or not


              experts pls throw some light on this matter b'coz here (mechanics) says taht there r no probs and then some say that bike tends to slip a lot

                Though I've a different variant of disc brakes, I only see my handling & braking improved a lot; there will be a slipage for two reason
                1. Poor back brakes
                2. Don't know how to apply brakes

                  does gladiator disc works fine on rx or do it have some niggling issues ????????

                      whats your opinion about fitting gladiator alloys on a spoke wheel unicorn. What i can confirm is the diameter of Axel is same for both gald & Uni front and rear, but not sure abt the clutch hub & dampers of Unicorn can neatly fit in a gladiator rear alloy drum.

                      I got these alloys & disc set up in spare so give me some hope.
