  • [Help]: P200 Low Mid range Power.

Hi, i own a Pulsar 200 (2008 modal) which has clocked around 16,000 Km's till now, but now i'm not satisfied with my bike performance because of low mid range power. I have installed K&N air filter and NGK iridium spark plugs 1year ago but this has not added any improvement in the performance. can u pls help me by giving some suggestion on this.

    Thank You.

Neither of these will increase your performance noticeably. All together you may have got a 1%-3% boost. That spark plug will last longer than your stock, but to get a performance increase you'll have to upgrade your ignition coil and cable, so a better voltage is produced, transfered and sparked. Even then the performance increase is negligible. The K&N will increase your airflow, but without increased fuel flow to match, your engine will run lean and will be damged with long term use. Again, general opinion is that, performance air filters are just a cosmetic upgrade, with no real performance increase.

Disclaimer: I have no direct experience with performance filters or spark plugs. The information above, is gathered from countless posts on this, and other forums. I may be wrong.

PS: Im sorry if i have dissappointed you. Don't sweat, Love your bike for what it is.

If you are looking for good torque at low revs then the P200 would not have it...you need to keep it around 4000+ RPM for some satisfactory performance..

Not much you can do about it. It is the way the engine is designed after all.
