to look cool, and fat tyres, well youve got the right idea, but the wrong bike. Anyways.

Read thru xbhp, see the ownership thread on R15, go thru the R15 modifications that are there.

^^^ +1 to what JD said.

          @rics,

Please check the R15 ownership thread.

One guy changed his rear tyre to the FZ's rear tyre on the same R15's alloy without ANY modifications to the swing arm or what ever. I think this info is about an year older. He has even posted photographs.

          All the best.

              Hey Rics,
I am not a pro in biking. But to my knowledge One of my friend has done bit Mods to his Blue r15.
              And it really looks cool.

              1. He got his stock rear tyre fitted to front.
              2. He got a Rear tyre of Kawasaki ninja of IRC soft compound 130 section to the rear. It costs around 3-3.2k
              3. He got a back seat cowl, to make the bike look single seater. Rs. 2k
              4. He got the tail light done with a spray paint job and now its given the shape of r1 tail light.

              5. He has got the air filter changed to a pipercross. And now his bike makes a nice roaring sound. It costs around 2k with proper jetting.
              6. Now his R15 is become more attractuve and also there is no loss of power. And it terms of handling the bike still remains smooth even if the Speedometer show 140+ kmph.

He has got the tyre change done in grant road, Mumbai. And got the air filters done at Borivali.

If I get a chance I shall upload some pics of his bike.

Nice mods would love to see a few pics ...

How did he jet the bike ?

The R15 has a fuel injector not a carb .
Please use all possible safety measures while riding and remember others also riding on the same road...

                        I am sorry guys.

Actually I termed it wrong as I done same on my bike.

Jetting is done only in bikes with carb. What my friend told me is when he fitted the Pipercross air filter in his R15. He need to remove battery connection to cut power to ECU. And after 15 min when plugs in the connection again the ECU takes the new configurations and allows proportional fuel to the increased air flow.

Hey bro its true that I know very less about Fuel injection bikes . But I know well about ma bike. And its not that am bragging about my friends bike.
I dont think this is a place where we should brag about others bikes. I just gave suggestions which I found wer reliable. And these mods definitely increase the performance as I have experienced the same when I rode his bike.
I shall Get some photos from my friend ...
I hope you get it in the right way....

why don't you just get a FZ and mount the R15 fairing?

anyway as such you dont care how the bike will run.
