    Hello everyone

    I have a problem
    i own a Pulsar 150cc dtsi bike. recently i changed the rear stock tyre with MRF zapper 130/80/18 one. And i also raised the rear shocks too. Now i am facing a problem with the rear end stability whenever i cross the speed of 45km or something near to it, or whenever i bend the bikes at the curves.... theres a kind of wobble at the rear. I took it to the mechanic and he said that the rear bush (between the swing arm and the chasis) have been cut so as to replace the bush.I replaced it but its still giving problems.
    Please suggest me what to do now....

      The wide rear tyre has affected your bike's handling. Whatever you do, it not gonna go. Come back to normal stock tyre and will get the handling back. 130 is an overkill for p150. 110 would be ideal upsize.

        whoa ho ho.....never tinker with ur suspension this way buddy,lower it again and see if theres any inprovement in cornering....wt rims are you using??the oe 150 rims or from the 180?any ways the oe ones which came wit ur 150 are thinner in width than the 180 ones which are wider and would aid the fittment of such a wide tyre better.

          Thanks a lot

          yes i have changed the old 150 rim with a 180 rim.
          i asked the mechanic was it caused due to the suspension but he said no it wouldnot make a diffrence.
          but now i am surely going to get it lowered back to its stock position.

            I fiddle around with the suspension a lot, i've stiffened the rear springs by two notches, and it has reduced the tail sliding antics considerably and gives better feedback while riding at high speeds and also is stable, though it comes at the price of comfort, also i feel that the 200 can perform better with a proper 110 or a 100 section rear tyre as the stock 120/80 is mostly show rather than go, these pics are a testimonial to how much a stiffer suspension can help you in cornering
            I'm too intelligent to the unintended, and too dumb for the obvious.

              well the pics speak that how much it can make a diffrence. well i will also try making a little hard.
              Actually the problem with my bike comes when riding with a pillion. even at slower speeds it causes a little disbalance at the rear end.

                  hey RPMBOY

                  dude is it normal that riding with a pillion the rear ends shakes a little, at the time of cornering, or it will the adjustment of the bikes suspension has got something to do with it. right now i am riding with a raised rear suspension.

                    my bike wobbles even with a 110 rear and stock suspension height
                    actually almost every bike wobbles a bit

                    how did you increase height of the shocks
                    is it by welding a bigger connecting pipe ??
                    if so check to see if they are perfect and in proportion

                    and making the suspension stiffer will surely help increase stability

                      hi jabin, also try this out ,check the rear tyre of the bike ,on the sides of the tyre (mostly towards your right hand side if you are standing behind the bike)there are specs written over it ,just besides them there is an arrow mark,make sure the arrow mark points in the direction of rotation of the rear tyre i.e in the forward direction,check and let me know.

                        Soften your shocks or reduce its height.
                        Don't you play games like NFS or something, they always say the lower the car the better the stability. Same rule applies here my friend.

                        If the tyre are not in "U" shape then it cause problems when turning.
                        u can check yourself if the Swingarm Bush is faulty by, keeping your bike on the main stand & moving your rear tyre left & right. if your swingarm moves with it then the bush is faulty(my mech told me how to check).


                        Also check your alloy wheels for any disbalance.

                            @jabin: did you get it weld? if so check the proportion and work and richard said. and if you did, the splendor's is 1" and yam 1.5" gain. so maybe you can step down. and be careful on potholes also for the shocks would break!

                              no i did not weld anything onto it, i just changed the helper nut (the one thats on the top of the shock conected to the chasis) to a longer one.
