  • RX 100 acceleration issues

    1. Now a days i m noticing that my RX 100's acceleration starts increasing when engine gets heats up or we can say ride it about 5-10 km's at maximum speed of 80, i get this issue.Every time i put the bike to idle race starts getting increased and when i let's it's engine cool down for we can say 30 minutes it's back to normal.

    2. Second thing sometimes bike does'nt start even in 10 kicks even after i just stopped it for 15 seconds (here stop means ignition off), it struggles to start and ultimately i have to pull the choke to let it starts. What could be the issue?????

Pls help me out with this issue b'coz whenever i describe it to service center guys they say that it's running normally, there is no prob in it.

    Thanx in advance

      1. Did not get the point.
      2. Lean pilots. Do the Plug chop test and tune the carb accordingly.

After riding the bike or letting the engine heat up,if the idle is at 1000 rpm it automatically increases to 2500 rpm.and when the engine is cooled down it automatically reduces to 1000 rpm. This is the main prob i described above

Check the slide of your carb. try to change the pilots and the slide.
both the issues will be solved.

Sounds like an airleak to me check for cracks on manifold and the rubber piece which connects the airfiltrer and carb.

What actually happens is if there is an airleak, the afr (air fuel ratio ) is changed
so the idling tends to increase and decrease, so every time you open the throttle more air is entered through that airleak hole more the unwanted air entered the afr keeps on changing.

I happened to to run my bike with a half cut manifold from bangalore south to east, trust me its a pain and very veryyyy harmfull to the engine.

Airleaks is a big pain for two strokes

                    Get the spark plug checked.
                    Check carburretor & tune it.
Make sure all engine nuts are tightened.
Make sure air filter is cleaned.

This is all basic things that i can suggest.

Experts kindly advise more in details.

As Phsyco said . its caused due to air leak itself.
If u actually want to find out if this happens on urs also for sure just listen to the sound of the air suction near the inlet manifold. When compared to the normal sound , it is in more . Just get it changed. the problem is solved

For the starting issue try getting your spark plug changed.
