  • [Help]: RD350 Price Check

    Hi,

    I have been hunting for a RD350 in Hyderabad/Indore.

I found one in Hyderabad. I will be checking it out soon and will take some pics when I do and post here. I have only spoken with the owner over the phone.

    - 1985 RD350 HT
    - Engine Sleeved and Last oversize
    - Delhi Registered, no NOC available
    - Rs. 68,000/- negotiable

Is the price ok? I feel it's high. What should be the right price? What do I need to look for when I go for the test ride/look?

It's a long term purchase for me. I own a 98' Bullet 500 and a 97' RX135. I will be selling the RX135 if and when I get the RD. I have never ridden a RD350 before, so don't know how it feels like.

I have gone through most of the threads on RD350 here. Any more useful links would be much appreciated.

    Thanks for your time...

PS: I will be visiting France/Europe in September for 4 months. Are new barrels and pistons available there, that I can carry back with me?

68k for a sleeved last oversize.. ouch.. thats expensive... If the bike visually restored and in a great shape 50k, 45k... i doubt you will find barrels there..

I was also thinking that this was too expensive. I was planning on offering around 40k, if everything else works fine. What would that anything else will be?

68 hell of a price n that too for the last over size block tell him keep it for urself and enjoy just staring it day and night because its impossible to get a standard original block piston, once the block piston is f----d then scrap the RD even if it is in showroom condition, instead go in for some other bike where service is avilable, spares are available,no tension of maintenance, reason is u will be investing a big amount of urs in the bike and once u by an RD be prepared to always visit the mechanic, always visit the petrol pump,u wont know what will happen when, park it when in the corner as spares are not available, take a wise decision
