  • types of break in ?

I hope im posting the right question in the right forum subsection

    my question is

i have read somewhere that their is a thing called hard break in which is generally done by racers and performance oriented riders... whats the difference from normal break in of a new bike

what are the pros and cons?

    thanks once again....

    Query Approved.

I believe you are talking about the moto-tune method of breaking in? There are people who would be able to provide good explanations of the same. However, I hope you are not planning for a 'hard' break-in for your Busa, which is yet to arrive!

well after reading this i was getting kind of curious about it

Break In Secrets--How To Break In New Motorcycle and Car Engines For More Power

and i wanted to know this before hand getting the busa

well as far as i think and i want ... i will break in by the manual and not this way... just wanted to know whats the pros and cons

but it does make me think ridin a brand new bike on the highway without even breakin is not good for the bikes engine

I personally would go by the manual and I don't think you can follow the motoman's approach on the street on a busa because I don't think you would cross the 4000 rpm limit most of the times let alone open the throttle hard. It can easily do a 100kmph in first gear and you would be short shifting. You'd have to take it to the tracks and if you haven't had riding experience on a superbike before it would require supreme amounts of confidence in your riding skills and a really long straight stretch of track.
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.
