Hi Guys I have a pulsar 180cc 2008 december model.
I dont know much technically, so I would appreciate detailing the technical terms u use, please. i dont even know wot jettng is.
I need your help badly for finding out the problem with my p180 and doing some modifications on it. I have detailed it below. It would b a long thread, sorry.
1. Am getting only a speed of 113kmph, with 30psi and 40psi air on tyres.
Really sad abt tat
I did my first service after 503km, till then I didnt go beyond 50kmph. my bike is well maintained. am using xtrapremium petrol n castrol recmnd engine oil. No servc centre guys could solve it.
2. I want to improve the performance n power of my bike as i'l b using it for long rides,abt 640kms. So i want to maintain a top speed of 135-140kmp. I dont mind d drop in mileage. I used to get 55kmpl on highwys at 55-60kmph. wil i b abl to get atleast 40-45kmpl in d same riding behavr aftr upgradation?
Last time whn i tuk it to kerala it gave me 27kmpl whn i maintained 112kmph frm abt 400km apprx.
3. I want to upsize my tyrs. Currently Eurogrip 2.75 17" front and 100/90-17. Whch do u recomnd fr my ridng behavr, wot abt changing it into rim 18. wil it increase top speed? whch 1 do u recomnd on ths rim, both in front n rear. n wot all change shud i mak to fit this. n whch brand.
I need a good grip on roads whn watr/soil is presnt, confidnt cornerng n a lil off road.
4. Abt d air filter, heard tat K&N is d best so whch 1 in r 1060, rc 1060, rc 1120. heard tat jettng shud b done aftr tat. plz tel me wot jettng is. N wot elz shud i do aftr installng it.
5. Exhaust. heard tat tuned length free flow exhaust of Tectrac is d best. whch 1 do u recmnd, n wot all thngs shud b donne bfr/aftr tat.
6. Will thr b a consdrbl decr in acclrtn?
These are all d thngs I wud lik to do. Plz tell me if am wrong (d pro's n con's) n if thr r addtnl thngs tat i can do.
N plz tel me d cost to gt ths done <individual costs>
Can all ths b done withn 6k.
N guys plz do suggst a gud n reliable mechanic in chennai. I cudnt com acrs ny1.
