How many kms have you covered and many such details would help a lot

I will rather ride a slow bike fast than riding a fast bike slow.

1.Have you consulted your SVC regarding this?
2.20W40 Yamalube(which is what they use in the SVC) or 20W40 MOTUL is good enough but if you want you can opt for Semisyntheic 15W40 by MOTUL too.
3.What kind of a sound is it?is it a squealing sound?maybe then your brakes require a cleaning.
4.Are you sure?many ppl complain abt this and hard gear shifts even when it isnt there.
compare it with other FZs and make sure.

            1. Ya i had consulted SVC but they always say its ok & not a problem.
            2. I currently use Castrol Power 1 & the SVC says the gear shift is hard because of the oil.
            3. ya there is a squealing sound but apart from that the tyre sidds a lot when i berak hard.
            4. Ya i have tried my frnds fz i feel that his gears r also hard some times.

              1. have the chain tension adjusted correctly. ask for it to be a bit looser than normal.
              2. if you are satisfied with the yamaha oil, continue using it.
              3. the back brake will lock the back wheel during hard braking, if you are riding without passenger. Use more of the front brake.
              4. unless your engine is overheating and thereby causing a loss of power (when you think it is extremely hot), then it is normal.

FZ has a rear Drum brake so it locking while braking hard is perfectly normal.
use it only to "assist" the front disk, never apply the rear brake completely.
