  • Some help needed for Mods

    Hello all,

This is my first post on XBHP.I have done some mods on my Pulsar 150CL like new UG2 swing arm and front fork assembly.I am planning for the following:
1)17" alloys with 90/90 tyre in front and 120/80 in rear
    2)Bigger rear sprocket and/or 6th gear
3)Side skirts on tank/air scoops something like CB twister
4)small fairing on the round head lamp.

Please give your valuable inputs on the above mods and where I can buy or custom make the parts in 2,3,4 above.

    Thanks.

Hi pulsatronnix here are some inputs from my side,
      1. You can change to 17" alloys(black) and 90/90 front tire but not 120/80 at the rear dude. 120/80 for a P150 will kill the performance and the mileage. Better go for a 100/90 at the rear if you dont want to compromise on performance and mileage.
      2. Regarding sprockets i am not in a position to advice. i'll leave it to the experts.
      3. Regarding side/air scoops it would look quite nice. You could even use the tank scoops of the current pulsars as they will be a direct and sure fit.
      4. Regarding fairing i would suggest if you can afford it get the whole assembly changed to the wolf-eyed head lamp and fairing of the UG2 pulsar. I know a guy who has done this on pulsar classic

        @Devilslair,

Thanks for the reply dude but u might not have read my queries properly.
You r right about the 120/80 tyre will affect mileage n performance but m also goin for bigger rear sprocket,I think it might compensate somewhat.Require guidance from experienced bikers.

Regarding fairing I want something to go with the round headlamp not interested in wolf eye UG2 stuff. Also the side scoops of new Pulsars r quite small,I want something big like on the CB Twister.

Waiting for some expert guidance,Guys please care to share some info.

        Cheers!

          hmmm ...

          1. m not sure about tires/alloys ( still looking)
          2. Bigger sprocketwud kill the performance & 6th gear is not an option.
          3. side skirts may not be possible, as i tried on my bike, My garagewalla says incase any ANY accidents happen... it will brake first.
4.small fairing on the round head lamp it will not work, as said by DEvIl$ LAir ::: get the whole assembly changed to the wolf-eyed head lamp ... yes you can ... but it can be expensive & even more expensive after a fall !!

i dont mean to scare u or anything .... but stock looks good.

You can modify the engine & then lights & Seats .... i prefer my bike look like stock not an attention grabber for cops & theifs!!
