  • RE Bullet: Oil Related Questions

Firstly, I have a Royal Enfield Bullet 500.

Today I checked the engine oil level and it was empty. I re checked it a few times but no oil was on the stick at all. I'd been having random problems this morning so I thought it must be because of that so I frantically grabbed some 20w-50 and poured it in. I only had about half a litre. I then kicked the bike through a few times and so on and then checked the oil.

It was around 1cm above the high level and I was like "WHAT!?". I'm guessing all the oil must have been hiding from me when I first checked. Probably something to do with wet sumping or something like that.

So now I have too much oil and am wondering what to do. Is 1cm about the high mark bad or could I just leave it? If required, how would I go about draining the oil? I can't locate the drain plug.

I have a few more questions but I'll wait until this one is answered.

    Thanks for your help
