Now
I have a pusar 220 dtsi,
run 6.5k kms as of today
surely is the king of the road but ive got a few problems.
ive have had great experiences as well as bad ones. touched 139kmph and stuff with ease and it surely is very powerful ( will zoom away even with a pillion !!).
That said, my bike happens to be part of one of the earlier batches with the faulty starter clutch. It gave way after 4 months and i had it replaced under warranty.
Another hardware problem is my handle bar. The fork valve keeps getting loose and makes a loud clicking kinda noise everytime the front shocks are compressed (like when i put the brakes or go over a bump). the probiking guy has tightened it for me atleast 5 times till now and im not exaggerating! Very very annoying and definitely DOESNT feel great. The guys at probiking ( i give it for service at bajaj auto service) siad that if they relace the fork cone kit, it should solve the problem.
Has any one of you p220 dtsi owners face this problem ?
And mileage-ive never got even 30kmpl and i dont rip very often. I even use high octane petrol from shell !
tyre pressure 30pi front, 34 psi rear
( the manual says 28 front and 32 rear but i keep 2 counts higher to make it average out in case i dont check them for a while)
How can a 220 cc bike give such poor mileage? im more of a performance person rather than mileage ( thats why i opted for 220 dtsi) but this kinda mileage conveys that some thing may be wrong !! Ive got only stock parts and havent messed around with it in anyway.
so in a nut shell,
1) how do i get better mileage without a compromise on performance ?
2) What should i do with the "click" from my handlebar ?
