  • Please help!!!Yamaha FZ-s engine fear !!!

HI guys im new here and i ride a FZs which is also my first bike done only 350km on the odo...
Ive not done 500km on the odo yet also not yet done the first service... when i first bought it the acceleration seemed to be very good and the gears change smoothly but after doing a bit of long riding in the last few days the engine does not seem to be as powerful as it was... on 3rd gear the engine knocks/lags not sure how you describe it... i used to shift from 4th to 2nd gear at once but now i shift 1 gear at a time when down-shifting...
As advised by the Yamaha dealer here ... i try not to rev more than 5000rpm but sometimes it goes a little above 5k rpm and speeds of upto 65-70kmph at times of overtaking...
ive washed it a few times when it got muddy thats it...
I fear ive partly ruined my engine by being rough on the speeding and revving above the limit.... it seems to vibrate more i guess...
Please advise if this is anything to worry about or if this is normal and i have to wait for my first service...
Its my first bike guys and i choose it over a car and enjoying it so far until now its giving me worries!!

Please let me know if this is anything to worry about as my knowledge on bikes is really low!! greatly appreciated

    Thanks

Relax dude its ok no problem
its just that the engine oil needs to be changed in the first service.
After the service the bike will become butter smooth.
If you feel that the condition is very bad, then you can get your bike serviced earlier than scheduled.
Dont worry there is no problem at all..
      Cheers

thanks dude... Gained confidence now!! yeah ill just wait for the first service and also on the other hand my tail light switch is giving trouble it keeps getting loose and and the light keeps turned on even when im not applying the rear brake... do i have to change the switch or can it be fixed?... ive adjusted it twice already.... and also id like to know what type of wax can i use to polish the paint work... i see a few light scratches on my tank under very bright light nt very visible though but can something be done???

Not really sure about the taillight switch but i guess getting the foot lever adjusted according to your riding position makes more sense..

And about the wax polishing there are many different brands that you can go in for so it really shouldn't be a problem.
Also i would like to suggest that you get done a special coating done by yamaha.
Its not teflon but something else.
I saw a bike which had undergone that treatment and it just looked fabulous.
There thats all the questions answered i guess
