  • Need help in increasing top end of RTR180

Hi, i have an Apache RTR180. My bike does 53-54 at 4k rpm 5th gear. But since i have downsized the tyre to 100/80 (Zapper S) from stock 110/80, my speed has gone down to 51-52 at the same.
Now what i want is to increase the top end of my bike so that at every rpm my bike attains more speed than stock. Something around 63-64 at 4k rpm 5th gear would be great if that is possible without too much loss in acceleration. So can you tell me what mods should i go for? How much will it add to the speed at 4k rpm if i change to a rear sprocket with two teeth less?
You can only ride better tomorrow if you ride safe today.

Dude check the chain and sprockets get them cleansed and greased properly..check the clutch..wire and plates it could also be a weak clutch..cuz after u have changed the tyre..ur bike should be a lil more responsive..another thing u can do if u don mind the warranty getting void. u can get a properly jetted rx135 or rd350s carb fitted a neatly done free flow exaust..and if u wanna go a lil more serious and don mind opening the engine..then u can re-sleeve the bore of ur bike for it to accomodate a karizma piston..a bigger cam..a few head alterations like porting (increasing valve size)and head polishing..but for the engine alterations u would need a nice mechanic..but once u do something like this its gonna be hell quick...top and acceleration...

You need to change the sprockets to get this done; less tooths on sprockets gives a good top end BUT at the cost of acceleration. But if you do not want to do that at the cost of acceleration, then you may want to work on engine with possibilities ranging from valves, cylinder, exhaust, ECU.
