I thank you in advance for any tip.

Questions to you - How do you know the suspensions don't work; are you experiencing a complete jerk from top of your head to complete body when you pass over potholes? If yes, then the suspensions don't work.

BTW - is it a new Unicorn or bought a used one or have been using it for a while? Did you take the motorcycle to H.A.S.S?

I simply refuse to believe that suspensions don't work on Unicorn as it being such a great motorcycle from a reputed company & one of the best seller. May be you need to adjust the rear suspension from H.A.S.S.

Your rear suspension must be bust, get it replaced from an authorized service center. I would recommend you go in for the monoshock of the new dazzler since it is slightly different in construction (original unicorn's is a variable pitch single spring where as the new dazzler has 2 springs in series)

The front forks rarely go bad, check for oil leaks in the front forks, if the seal is cracked or worn out the oil level might have reduced and thus hampering the forks ability to function normally.

I don't know if you are aware of this, but the rear shock has 3 settings for compression adjustment. If you haven't done so already you can try softening the springs before replacing them.
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

you gotta be more specific with the issues with your suspension. Also how old is the bike? and how loaded is it during regular use?? single or double up???

first of all thank you for the time you spent to reply my post, the story is my suspension aren't so old may be they need a replacement of the hydraulic liquid but since new they felt like there is no oil in it and is working only the spring they don't absorb and keep like they should, but they go back to the original position very quickly, than the cornering when you are alone on the bike feel insecure, big change if you carry a passenger than the problem stop and the bike feel almost OK, I believe that the rear part of the bike is to high in respect of the front, changing of suspension with better and adjustable ones could solve the problems. Are you telling me to go Honda service because you don't know a specialized shop who can deal in suspension or because you know that in India there aren't shop dealing in suspension?
            Thank you again

First I don't know what kind of person you are (since there's no intro on you) & how much you're willing to spend.
If you've lot of money & more time - Go to any workshop that you see immediately on the road
If you've lot of money & less time - Go to any workshop through some local reference
If you've less money & more time - Learn the concept of "hydraulic liquid" & fix it up yourself
If you've less money & less time - Go to any Honda A.S.S

But when you explain the problem, pls explain it thoroughly as what you experience & ask them to take a test ride on your motorcycle.

I am no "Rockefeller" but luckily or unluckily I have enought money a old motorbike competition experience on my background and this make me a bit picky so please if you know any good mechanic, address or internet link, who deal in suspension please give it to me I will check it with pleasure. Thank you

P.S. I believe that brake, frame and suspension for safety are the most important thing in a bike and Honda in India to contain prices don't give the proper eye on it.

@sereste - what is the problem approaching an Authorized Honda Service Centre? Why do you want to get yourself ripped with an unknown mechanic? If the A.S.S rips you off, you can always talk to Honda to get things done.

Or are you planning to get a customized suspension for your Unicorn?

I still wonder why you hate approaching a Honda A.S.S. Are there any specific reasons? Do let us know.

Yes, I really like to customize the bike regarding suspension but I don't know were to go. With Honda I have nothing , the only think is they will go for the original spare part which I believe to be a bit poor.

To suggest you with mechanic, we would like to know where are you from.

I would strongly suggest you to go for H.A.S.S for the replacement.
Reason? - You are sure at least the mechanic in the Authorized Service Center had done this change before.

To answer your question on customization, it is very difficult to understand what kind of modification that you are looking at you can specifically spell out to this forum.

I own 2005 model Unicorn, have not faced issues with suspension so far, at least front fork is regularly checked for oil levels and for any sound emitting during the overlooked pothole dips.

As far as rear Unicorn suspension, I would not get too deep in modification, as is, they are better positioned to take a good load of dips and at the same time given very good stability during ride.

I'm not sure what is that you are looking for more when you can get a clear stock suspension work with bit of fine tuning should that require.

i also own a uni 2005 model. in single riding the front suspension is ok , little bit on the soft side ie bottoms out in deep potholes. but the rear has a over damped setup. difficult to bottom it out. even if u set the setting to soft the ride is not that comfy. nothing much to do except if u could open it up & modify the internal valving setup.

                            Re: Unicorn suspension

After riding my unicorn for 10000 km and researching all about suspension and other aspects of bike i came to know a very interesting fact and solution to this problem
majority of unicorn owner will agree with me that the stock tires provided with unicorn i.e. zapper y (rear) do not get wear down even after 25000 km as it is made of super hard compound so it never provides right feedback to the mono shockup
i realized that and changed my rear tire to ceat zoom and there was so much difference in the ride quality the rear shock started working superbly as ceat tires being made of soft compound started giving best feedback to mono shock up and really solved my problem
the mrf zapper y is the worst tires for any bike dont know why honda is using in there bike the bike is awesome suspension is awesome just change tires to soft compound tires the problem will be solved
