  • Help in Buying Thunderbird

I m already requested for help from Xbhpians in choosing between in Electra or Thunberbir (in What Bike), and got few good advices.

Now TB is finalised but still got problem in getting my dream adjustments done prior buying the same.

As i visited to dealer (@ Jhandewalan, Delhi) & asked towards change tyres from stock 19 inches to 18 inches. he said possible but thy dont do, for that i have to go to Bullet modifier. I m also looking for tubless option is it possible to have so.

secondly asked for get silencer of Classic 350 to be fitted with TB which thr mechanic denied that's not possible, but in my previous post fellow Xbhpian said its possible, so again some bike modifier needed.

third want to change handle bar of thunderbird with preferably with handler bar of avenger to is it possible.

so owners of Thunderbirds & others pls help me in sorting out my these problems.

    1) Getting 18 inches normal or 18 inches tubeless if possible then @ what price

    2) Tilted Silencer of Classic into TB (Cost approx Rs. 2000/- as per dealer) is that possible

    3) Handlebar of Bajaj Avenger in TB possibility & cost.

for all above problems some preferable & trusted Bike Modifier/Tyre Dealer

    please advice

All the listed mods are possible. But you will have to check the sprocket size of the classic 350, since it runs a 18 inch rear. if you put a 18 inch rear on the T-bird, it will reduce the gearing and the over all speed of the bike in each gear ( though your acceleration will be higher ).

Also do remember, that such mods ( like changing tyre size etc ) will void the warranty on a new bike.

You can scout around karol bagh for a number of people ready to do these mods

My offerings to the gods of speed -

      - KTM Duke 200
      - Yamaha RXZ 5 speed

thnx for reply, actually classic 500 comes both 18 inches, & does the warranty voids if i only go either for change in handlebar or with silencer or both

^^ the classic 500 comes with 18 inch F and R, but the 350 comes with 18 rear and 19 front, and the T bird comes with 19 F and R.

agn visited 2 dealers in delhi both said changing tyres & silencer didnot effects warranty.

one offered me 7500 for alloys & 6000 for tubeless & adjusting my stock 19 inches in 3000 (so net deal will be in 10.5K) any suggestions for the deal & 3000 for replacing silencer, so total deal is of 14k approx
