    Update Required

Hey Guys, I'm back with more questions.

Need latest update on the road conditions for the following routes:

    Delhi-Varanasi

    Varanasi-Kolkata

    Kolkata-Visakhapatnam

    Visakhapatnam-Chennai

    Chennai-Mumbai

I need to finalize the number of days and the dates (as the medical certificate for those is to be given...). Also, this info will help me to decide the pace and stoppages on the way

I pm'ed my number to you more than a week back - call me whenever you have time. Typing out everything through pm's just takes too much time.

              Hey.. awesome!

On a personal request, could you detail me how the trip from Delhi to Varanasi was whenever you're free/done with the GQ tour? Road, speed, duration, stopovers (if any) and other issues? I live in Delhi and my home town is in VNS. Some day, I'd like to make that trip on my 180UG4.

All the best for the rest of it and ride safe!

Woah! That's pretty cool. Had no idea you had actually started the ride. When you called up in the morning, I thought you were just calling from home. Sorry that time I was just rushing to office!

Let me know if you're still in Bangalore, we can meet up if you're free.

I'm soooooooooooo sorry buddy that I was not able to fix up a meeting with you. Really wanted to meet you up... after all you were the inspiration behind this ride!!!!

That day I spent the entire day in the PBK center and was back in the lodge no before 5!!!

and left bangalore at 2.45 on Tuesday!!!

                    _____________RIDE UPDATE______________

Great going! No worries about not being able to meet up, getting your bike serviced was more important, glad you could get it done while you were in Bangalore.

Bangalore Mumbai in 13 hours is very good average speed! On Mumbai-Udaipur, only the Baroda-Ahmedabad will bother you a bit because of the traffic, otherwise the roads should be perfect.

And then Udaipur-Delhi should be easy.

                      Good luck matey!

                        "

                        Day 13:
                        Mumbai to Udaipur: 785km

                        Day 14:
                        Udaipur to Delhi: ~650km

                        "

                        recently did pune-delhi.

start mumbai - first 100-150 KM ok/bad kind.. lot of diversions due to construction.
then road is good till vadodara.

                        vadodara-ahmedabad - bad road for 100 KMs.
                        single lane.. lot of villages..

don't enter in Ahmedabad.. around 10-15 KM before ahmedabad, there would be a board saying Sardar Patel Road.. this is a bypass ring road.. check out first page of my thread.. 20-25 KM on this road bypass you Ahmedabad and meets again on NH4...

Ahmedabad to Udiapur is amaizing 220KMs..
at Udiapur leave NH4 and follow the route throu chittorgarh, bhilwara, kishangarh(back on NH4 after Ajmer), jaipur.. very good road..

Ahmedabad to Jaipur is the best road I have seen till date.

then jaipur to Delhi is a bit Average kind.. and have some villages in between..

feel free to PM me for any details for Pune - Delhi stretch..

                        best of luck..

                          Well Well Well!!!

The Mumbai - Udaipur stretch has successfully been completed. Enjoying the laid back attitude of the city. Would leave for Delhi tomorrow morning at around 4.

The back home bug has bitten me and only I know as to how have I convinced myself to break the journey in Udaipur.

Just some more time and I'll post the Log soon

@Rubber_stamp_champ: How long did you take to complete the Mumbai - Udaipur stretch? I'll be doing Mumbai - Delhi in a couple of days' time, and hence I was just asking.

Anyhow, ride safe and do post the triplog soon, will wait to read your experience.
                            :)
