Oye almost every other mechanic does it in Thane! (and in Nanapeth....)
Why pune!
PS: Is this for GS?
Where did you buy it from, the seller could probably recommend it to you.Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

I got it installed in Pune, on Nana peth. Cost me 270 bucks just to fit! Also, the mech didn't reroute the headlight AC wire to battery charging. He said it would overcharge the battery, and in this case it is not needed as GS has 9amp battery. Hope that would be true. Tonight is the night of HID testing!

The HID works good, and the light throw is seriously superb to halogens. Also, glare is there, but I didn't face any gaali garoch or frequent upper dipper of oncoming vehicles, so it seems it is not much. Somehow my switches are ULTA now, so Upper is dipper and viceversa!
Now, some questions for pros: I noted that when the bike was running, the HID was not flickering. However when it was stopped, after some 2 mins it starts flickering. Seems it is an issue with battery charging. Is there any simple way for tackling this?
How about this: If I short the yellow wire going from the RR to + terminal of battery? Then When the headlight switch is ON, the HID will glow, as well as the current from the yellow wire which was previously used to power the headlight & pilot lamps will now charge the battery. As the previous total AC output of yellow wire is 35W + 5W + 5W = 45 W, and HID draws 35W, the battery is charged proportionally. As this charging is done only when HID is running, there is no issue of battery overcharging. Is the feasible?
I read that at around 4200 RPM for Unicorn, the battery charging rate will same as output rate of HID. THus I thing the current setup will be good in highways (or spirited city riding!). Any comments on these?
Please excuse my newbie questions! I am sincerely looking for an answer.
