  • Protective foam from helmet detached!

    Hi all.

I have a Vega Eclipse 3/4th helmet. I wanted to wash its paddings so I removed the two pieces that cushion the cheeks and the padding that goes around the lower part of the head. I then noticed that the protective foam inside was loose - it moved at the tap of a finger. The cloth lining the inner upper part of the helmet was also coming unstuck. With a little effort, I managed to remove the foam completely from the helmet .

Attaching an image of the piece.

I applied Fevicol to the foam and have put it back in, but my confidence in the helmet is gone. Is it a fake Vega? I got it from AA Helmets in Goregaon on 20th April.

Is it OK for the foam to come off? And the inner lining? Can I continue to use it once I put it back together?
