Can you post your question as elaborately as possible preferably avoid spelling mistake & SMS language? All I understood from your question is your steed is a stock & the rear wheels heaten up abnormally. I don't think it could happen on a stock vehicle unless there should be some issues & hence requesting the elaboration.

If you do have a habit of having off resting your toe on the brake, this tends to happen else check the brakeshoe springs.

              Zma rear mags Heating Up..

My initial assumption was the same, that you guys have mentioned above NO, I don't raid resting my foot on break lever. As per my observation the intensity of heat is higher on Drums and gradually decreases towards the rim, I got the drums opened and checked, their was no Ware and Tare, No signs of friction apart from break pads and even rear breaks are kept Pretty relaxed, not to tight, Once I Rode not using rear breaks at all, for a Distance but still mags heat up....

I had plans to Join in for Kolkata G2G but I don't feel safe raiding My machine in this Condition.. So guys any good mechanic in and around Kolkata,... please let me know....

              Raid safe Guys..

P.S This Zma which I'm Talking about is 5 year old Stock Bike. No Modification Done, still running on Stock Tyre's, I just bought this bike from the 1st owner. The bike has clocked 18,000 Kms. Bike is been maintained pretty well I don't see any other issues apart from rear mags heating up.

Srikanth I think its the rear brake shoe constantly rubbing against the rear rim. While breaking the disc or drum both things get heated too much due to friction and as the brakes are attached with the alloy rim and it’s a quick worm up material so the whole rim gets heated up quickly.

1st put the bike on the main stand and put the bike in neutral and rotate the rear wheel. If the rear wheel doesn’t rotate freely then the rear brake tension is set to over stiff. Loose the brake free play by loosing the brake free play adjusting nut (see manual). While tuning rotate the wheel and feel that the brake pads are rubbing or not, and the wheel is moving freely. You can also hear the rubbing noise if the area is silent. When the wheel is moving freely then you’re done.

                    Questions...
                    1. How do you say the rear wheels are heating up? are you comparing your ZMA's rear wheels with respect to another ZMA's rear wheel?
                    2. Has this been a problem from the day you got the motorcycle or only in the recent times OR this might've been an issue, but, you're observing it only now?
                    3. Did you fix some puncture anytime recently?
                    4. Check the position/bent of bar tension & the drum for any lose nuts
                    5. What about the rear swing arm's position? Did the bike fall down in recent times?

If you've negative answers for all the above, then there can only be one thing that the - heat is normal. If it still not satisfy you, take it to nearest H.H.A.S.S.

Thanks People . Soumen I checked it, I've actually done the Whole Process of Loosening the Break lever with help of the Nut on the Break Liner. But that Did not Made any change on Both condition Loose and Tight. The back wheels Spins Freely without any Lag or Sound of Friction...

Aargee Thanks for the Suggestions, I know that the rear Mag wheel does not heat up So Much because I've been raiding my Zma for past 5 year, I have another Zma @ my home in Banglore I've Purchased a used Zma over here in kolkata.. Just because I needed a bike to Pursue My passion for raiding.
