Brake oil reservoir paint peeling off problem

If you want to get rid of the peel off, change of the entire assembly.
Brake oils have the tendency of effecting the painted surface. Although the paint on the reservoir is powder coating, it still will give way in due course of time because slowly and gradually, the oil seal between the reservoir and the cap ages and lets the oil out. There is absolutely nothing to worry off, however, I would recommend you to change the oil seal, the oil too.
all cheers
dcsIts not about the BHP or the CC, its about one common religion called Biking!!!

My friend had the same problem and i took him to my mechanic.
My mechanic suggested to change oil once in a year and that every time you open the reservoir cap be cautious about spill and main thing he wanted the oil seal in the reservoir to be changed along with the oil.
Though now he is not getting the problem he was not satisfied as the paint he done on the reservoir is not that attractive.
Now I suggested him to buff the reservoir and the levers.. think this may work as well be a bit attractive.sigpicTame the Road........
