  • Disc brakes for Hero Honda Splendor.

    Hi guys,

My bro is having a splendor and would like to fit a disc brake for front as the braking is not so good. Would like to know the good brands to go for here in Bangalore and if any shop recommendations also are truly obliged.

    Thanks,
    Ramki.

To undergo a disc setup, at the minimum, you'll need to change the RHS suspension bottom & the entire front brake setup. Check out the compatibility of Passion Pro's front suspension on Splendor's fork assy. My assumption is, they'll be a direct fit due to the same parent company & you can go for the minimal setup I suggested above.

I am not sure if I am right, but I vaguley recollect a version of Splendor has come with disc brake. If it is true, check with service station; you might get it retrofitted. Passion Pro's disc set up might fit without any issues.

Even I too remember a certain model of Splendor did come with frontal disc brakes. When I checked for that model in HH website, I couldn't find that model; probably HH had discontinued?

Guess that was a limited edition.

I think it was Super Splendor, 125cc.
I'll check it this evening, there is one in my building.
Btw Ramki, how is your Fiero F2 doing? Oil leak problem gone?

The splendor in its +plus iteration came wid an optional disc brake. same wid the passion+. we usd to talk about this as a gud option. ask the dealers bout dis. afaik the passion pro also uses the same downtube as splendor. HH has maintaind the same parts 4 most of its bikes. just get the downtube. disc.caliper and wheel. and u r ready to go.
