  • Help, Overheating !

    Hey guyz,
I own a Yamaha Fazer. I just gave my bike for 2nd service yesterday and got her back as good as new with Teflon coating done. I've clocked 2800 Kms on the Odo..But the bad news is...the bike's overheating like anything !! Its running very smoothly, the pick up is great and stuff...but i can feel the heat radiating very intensely after just 3-5mins of using the bike !! From the day i bought my bike, it used to get heated up and a lot of heat used to radiate, but it was only after like 30-45 mins of riding...Now this overheating is really worrying me..During the 2nd service, i asked him to tune the engine properly. I told him that i was getting a mileage of only 30-33 and my top speed was only 109..it was struggling to go after that...He said he'll tune it..Is this overheating because of that?? Or is it because I'm riding the bike with very less fuel?[I was running it in reserve]...Please do help mee!! what could be the reason for this terrible heat??!

There're several reasons for heating like mixture lean, tightened valves. But my first question will be have you compared your FZ with any other FZ to check the heating? Reason being that, it could be just normal. Search the forum for over heating & you'll come up with several reasons.

Edit - To begin with, check this thread - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/help-me/...g-problem.html

My mixture can't be lean cuz i've never touched anything...I mean, i haven't installed K&N or smthing..Tightened valves....maybe cuz they would have tightened it during the 2nd service...i don't think its normal...i never had this sort of overheating before i gave for 2nd service..
