  • Problem with Pulsar 150 UG IV

    Pulsar 150 UG IV
    12,300 odd kms
    clocked...

Need help on the following problems that I'm facin:

    1) Sound when down shiftin gear from 5th to 4th.. I downshift by slowin the bike to around 35kms/hr which i think is good enough speed to downshift from 5th to 4th but i hear a sound.. it's like karr... also have problems with upshiftin... sometimes the gear doesn't engage completely... for ex if i shift the gear from 3rd to 4th @ around 30kms/hr the gear suddenly falls automatically to 3rd and so the rpm raises like hell... My friends say it's a problem with chain adjustment... But i need the opinion of u guys...

    2) I hear some sound from the rear suspension(I've got it adjusted to the 3rd level wen by bike had clocked 10,400+).. it's somethin like the sound u here when some nut's loose... Is it a serious problem??

      1) May be you need some more time to adjust to Bajaj hallmark 'Gear-shifts'. Tightening the chain will solve the issue to an extent only if you are correctly shifting.

The gear change issue is related to the clutch free play. Adjust[read:tighten] the clutch cable and allow only 5mm of free play in the clutch lever. And see the difference in the gearshifts. Clean and Oil the chain thoroughly and check the oil level and condition.

gear shift sound may be due to not using full clutch lever .

n rear shock . is it nitrox or spring shock......

Try rotating the spring with bare hands. See if it turns. If it does, turn it as far as it can go. This happens in a friend's P135.

Does this happen when riding solo or when you have a pillion?
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.
