I assume you know what is cycle fit? If you don't you can read a very good article on this here - How to Fit a Bicycle

Remember cycling is a sport which requires a repetitive motion which can cause injury in the long run if mileage increases and proper form is not followed.

The saddle is normally kept pointing upwards very slightly. As a downward pointing saddle will make you slip off and your wrists and arms will be forced to take the extra weight thus tiring you faster. Read the part on Saddle tilt in the above link.

Ride hard, Ride Safe !!!
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

This is my HERO DTB(2008)
Used it rigorously for 2 years, till I went to college, than gave it yo my cousin, he used it for 4 years.
Now he's going out Bangalore, so took my baby FROM GURGAON TO DELHI (52KMS) paddling all the way down.
NOW ,
Shocker is making a choo choo noise, but is working perfectly.
Front mudgurad is missing
Seat is torned
Bigger sprocket gear isn't working.
Can anyone tell me approx kharcha.
Now I get to know why I bought a Red 200ns and why my dream bike is a Red ducati 11xx panigale. I've been sucker for red beauties from the beginning.

Don't try to fix me, I'm broke so I don't work
So are you, but you're broke 'cause you don't work

My bike. (Needs new wheels, these ones have started rusting despite careful maintenance over the years).
I guess I've roughly clocked 5000 km on it by now.

The Monk, is there any remedy for wheels rusting? It is parked in the building's parking lot, in shade (along with my bike), but natural elements have taken a toll over the years.

Well my advice is very simple and probably not what you want to hear To click nice photos and to make nice HDRs you need a nicer bike.

With all due respect to the lovely memories you have with this bike, you need to sell this off to the nearest Kabadi or give it away to the neighbourhood watchman. And buy yourself a REAL bike

Seriously man, am surprised the entire thing has not rusted and fallen apart !!!

Agree it's not in the best of health; but it has seen some real bad times with me. (read - no maintenance in the initial years).
Currently, it takes me to nearby places and I doubt I'll get any 'monies' for it if sold.

Bad times? In the cycling world these are called BSOs, google it

If you are serious about cycling, then you need to buy yourself a proper bike. It is almost as bad as saying that you enjoy motorcycling and yet you buy yourself a Mercedes and a TVS XL50!! If you really want to experience quality then you have to pay for it.

Nobody would be willing to pay any 'monies' for it, there is no 'doubt' about that

Arey baba, chill maar, sell this to the Kabaadi, may it RIP
