For creating that seemless white foreground and background i use posters.
Table lamps are precisely what i am thinking of getting for this So called studio setup of mine.

Yes you are right about the fact that not even a single Veyron sclae model has been posted here on this thread, and even after your post it continues to remain so, as this Veyron of yours is not exactly a scale model.
The only proper scale model of Veyron available here in India is of AutoArt make and that too cost f**king 8000 bucks. So unfortunately the doom continues and still no proper scale model of the Mighty "Veyron".

In layman terms (or what I personally understand of the term 'scale model'), a scale model is a representation of an object that is smaller than the actual size of the object. However, I am not sure what other criteria is looked into; may be the details, etc. is also deeply looked into. I am sure our in-house scale model collectors would be able to throw more light into it.

P.S: Neither have I seen a Bugatti Veyron in real life!

              • @entsurgeon: A scale model is something which is built to a particular scale like in case of 1:18 modele it is 1/18th size of the original thing and as Aryan rightly pointed out it should represent the original thing. And in case any of these things are missing it will be considered as a toy and not a scale model.

Even i have RC model of Jaguar XJ 220 like you Veyron , and the scale is mentioned as 1:13 but as its far from being an honest representation of the original thing its a "TOY".

I hope you have got the point.

And as a matter of face even i havent seen a Veyron in flesh.

                • so mate, eliminator isn t a scaled down harley.eh??
by the way, i find only 2 shortcomings in my bugatti.
                  1. the underside isnt the representative of original but barely a flat plastic sheet of the toy.
                  2. the alloys not seen in the pics were accurate enough but the tires aren t of accurate width and profile.
but the body is so accurate.
in one of my childhood books about how things are made, they have described the basic procedure of model making.
a wooden large pantograph that can do three dimensions is used, and... an original actual specimen is used.
but i am sure there are other ways of making scale models where an artist relies on his skill to make one.
next up... my bullet model for u to ponder.
ps.: any words on zonda and f1???

didn t need a ruler or tape to make that one out. the tyres were thin.
Scale model - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia to answer the query. but i m really not satisfied by what it did say.

Thanks for clearing my mind, Bandhav! Yes, I had totally missed that post of yours. Rs.8k for a Veyron, looks like it is the FASTEST scale model in the production line up too (like the real Veyron)!
                            :)

                            • ^^Fastest? That i dont know, but most expensive its surely not. Some scale models got reatiled for as much as 2,25,000 INRs.
