  • Two pictures from my side. The first picture is posted to show the scale of the flower as compared to a camera lens cap. The second picture is a 1:1 macro photograph of one of the yellow flower seen in the first picture.

    • Aryan, in the 2nd pic the subject(flower) looks to be blurry..i feel its not the fault of the cam or the lens but i guess you chose the wrong flower..!!

That is all I could manage handheld, at 1:1. This is the only disadvantage of not having a tripod during a macro shoot. One has to close down the aperture drastically at 1:1 magnification ratio (the aperture for this picture is f16) resulting in subsequent slow down of the shutter speed.

        • Inder, it is called the "depth of field". The aperture selected by Aryan is very small and hence very narrow depth of field. In other way, the width of the field of focus is smaller than the width of the flower. Aryan could have selected a bigger aperture than the current one, which would have covered the entire flower. But anyway it is nice.

Arre..i never complained abt the quality of the shot/lens/cam..!! I just said that "He choosed a wrong flower for the shoot, coz that flower has too much noise on the petals, so it gives a bit of a grainy effect"..

Yes, the flower did have strange grains on it's petals!

Bandhav, of late, I have not been much in to the photography. I agree that I have never posted a click in this thread, a bit lazy to post pics on the net. But, you will definitely find some of my clicks on this thread soon.

Addy, that is a nice pic dude.
